Metrohealth Medical Center; Metrohealth Autism Assessment Clinic (MAAC)

MAAC is an interdisciplinary clinic dedicated to serving patients with Autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders and their families in a culturally sensitive manner. The MAAC team includes physicians (Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians & Psychiatrists), psychologists, social workers, and speech/language therapist who provide evidence-based services. Diagnostic evaluation are available for individuals across the life span and include clinics dedicated to serving young children (birth to 6 years), older children (6 years through 18 years), adults (18 years +), and patients from Spanish speaking households (Hispanic Clinic). Neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations are provided for individuals from birth through 21 although individuals over the age of 21 with significant developmental disabilities are also seen. Speech/language therapy (bilingual Spanish/English providers are available), resource and referral services, psychiatric care, and psychotherapy are also available although some services are limited in availability at this time.
