Autism Care Network: ECHO Autism Clinics

Since 2015, ECHO Autism has expanded in size and scope—from a single primary care clinic to a network of clinics delivering sessions on a range of topics and services. View a full list of participating clinics below.

Allied Health – Offers education to speech/language pathologists (SLPs), occupational therapists (OTs) and psychologists in the local community and in underserved communities. Topics include understanding how autism is diagnosed, the clinical features of ASD, physical and behavioral comorbidities, and strategies to effectively build skills and manage challenging behaviors during therapy sessions.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – This pilot clinic offers guidance on ABA therapy, including supporting families in ABA, medications in ABA and relationship building in ABA.

Behavior Solutions – Offers training to community-based school personnel so they can better support students with autism in the educational setting.

Crisis Care – Offers training to community-based professionals so they can better support people with autism in behavioral crisis and improve cross-system communication.

Education – Offers training to education and allied health professionals in schools in order to improve understanding of ASD and provide effective supports for autistic students within the classroom and broader school setting.

Family – Connects families and professionals in the disability field with a panel of experts to educate, build skills and facilitate discussion on a curriculum of topics, including understanding and managing challenging behaviors, building family supports, coping with anxiety, and the connection between ADHD and autism.

Family Advocates – Offers guidance and education to community-based advocates so they may better understand systems and connect people with autism and their families to high quality, evidence-based resources.

Mental Health – Offers resources and training to community-based mental health professionals who deliver therapeutic treatment modalities modified for individuals with autism.

Primary Care Providers – Offers guidance and best practices to community-based primary care physicians and practitioners delivering autism screening, early identification, and management of medical and psychiatric comorbidities. Topics include diagnosis, challenging behaviors, sleep, feeding problems, therapies and more.

  • The Cincinatti Children’s Hospital Medical Center hosts clinics on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 12-1:30pm ET, beginning October 6, 2021. Learn more.
  • University of Rochester hosts clinics on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 12-1pm ET, beginning October 8, 2021. Learn more.

Primary Care STAT (Community Pediatrician Diagnostics) – Offers education on diagnosing autism in young children with unambiguous symptoms to community-based physicians and practitioners.

Psychology – Offers education and best practice sharing for community-based psychologists who deliver gold-standard autism diagnostic evaluations.

RUBI – Offers training to psychologists, BCBAs and master-level professional and mental health practitioners interested in learning about RUBI, an evidence-based psychosocial intervention program used to manage difficult behaviors in children.

Screening – Educates frontline community providers on screening and diagnosis best practices; common barriers to diagnosis among ethnic and racial minority families; and referral pathways for diagnosis and initial behavioral supports for families of children with developmental disabilities.

Not Currently Running

Early Intervention – Offers guidance and best practices to community-based interventionists who deliver evidence-based, autism-focused early intervention for autistic children aged 12 months to 8 years.

Transition to Adulthood – Aims to help pediatric and adult practitioners care for their autistic patients and ease the transition to adult healthcare.
