*Follow up with your County Early Childhood Intervention center for an appointment immediately.
*Request for a detailed explanation of the result of the evaluation or child assessment completed for your child.
*Contact the Autism Waiver provider within your state (this allows eligible children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder to receive waiver and Medicaid services to support them in their homes and communities).
*Review and understand the required treatment goals/plan for your child’s diagnosis.
*Be sure to have lots of questions prepared for the assigned therapists assigned to work with your child, either at home, school or daycare.
*Confirm that the goals and outcome developed for your child are measurable and appropriate to meet the needs of your child’s current challenges.
